Microsoft has leaped onto the accelerating artificial intelligence (AI) bandwagon with CEO Satya Nadella’s announcement of Microsoft’s goal to democratize AI during his keynote at the Microsoft Ignite conference in Atlanta. With this announcement, Microsoft joins a group of mainstream companies that have recently said they are embracing the technology. In the weeks before Ignite, Salesforce announced the addition of an AI called Einstein to its products, and SAS Institute announced Aristotle.
